angel's rest trail

Lauren and I went a great hike this weekend in the Colombia River Gorge. I can’t help but wonder who decides how the trail will go. The ultimate goal of this trail is to get to the top. It was worth it for sure, but how do you really know it was the best way to go. Do you have to be certified trail maker? Or, do trails form themselves and we just groove it in hike after hike?

Angel's Rest is the best hike "for the money." It's short and has a killer view from the top.
