h3dii test – part iv


No, it doesn’t shoot B&W. Nor does it shoot film. All the previous H series have been equipped with film/digital interchangeable backs. Since this is a dedicated digital system, the machining of the pieces are much more precise and so you get a better image. You also have firmware on board that fixes problems with most digital back systems (moire for one).

I shot this wide open at 50mm. Just to see what the bokeh looked liked. It’s pretty sweet.

    I have a great relationship with the Pro Team at our local camera shop, Pro Photo Supply. They're bringing the HD3ii into the rental department and wanted me to test it out for them. They wanted to see if any issues would pop up before they let it out to the public. Yeah for me.
