My dad gave me my first camera. It’s the same one as he’s using here. A 35mm Pentax Spotmatic SLR with a 50mm lens. The best thing about it: it’s all manual. It never needs batteries. I also have an ambient light meter that doesn’t need batteries. How refreshing is that.

This is a really interesting shot, Lincoln. I love the way you processed it too. Nice job!

One of my favorites–just a tinge of the surreal with a whole lot of character.

LOVE the processing on this one.

  4. Lincoln says:

Thanks everyone! I like it, too. I actually did all the processing in ACR. I'm experimenting with the limits of what it can do.

I recently picked up a Pentax Spotmatic for $10 from a thrift store. I'd forgotten all about it until I read this post. I'm going to load it with film tomorrow. Thanks for the inadvertent reminder! 🙂

  6. Sweet camera, my kinda gear 🙂 What did you use for this shoot? Awesome even tones.

Very nice photo, the post processing makes the photo seem surreal! Beautiful!
