Had some fun with a ring flash and gridded softboxes to shoot this collection of fine summer brews for Imbibe Magazine’s July/August 09 issue. The goal of this shoot was to make the beer really pop off the page and look super crisp. A ring flash is used for fashion a lot, so it had a really nice high key light effect on the bottles. I love the way the sweat gets all shiny and sparkly. Special thank to art director Kate Madden for letting me explore this technique.
Here are the rest of the spreads.
