It’s times like these that I feel lucky for all I have.
Everyday, I see this guy diligently combing through all the dumpsters looking for cans and bottles (which are worth $.05 a piece in Oregon). He’s probably my age. I just wonder how he got there.
This place reminded me of the cafés I saw on my trip to France. The mood was very Portland though.
So, I might be signing up with a new stock agency based out of Seattle. I have some stuff on Alamy but it’s hard to get noticed with they have 9.3 million images. The agency I’m talking with has more of a niche market and they’re well respected. It’s pretty exciting and I’ll keep you posted if anything happens.
And this is not a Fugazi photograph.
This one’s from the 2002 archives. Going way back.
This was shot on film, that’s why there’s no camera data. Speaking of, bringing out the 4×5 has got me thinking about shooting film again for jobs. It’s a little more risk, but it has some qualities that I’ve never found in digital. It wouldn’t work for all jobs, but I feel there is a place for it.
Travel can be grim sometimes.
