Then and Now

I was going through my archive the other day and stumbled on the first kitchen I ever photographed: I shot this way back in January of 2003, on film, with a Nikon F4, and a manual focus 20mm lens. I shot it on Kodak E100VS slide film and I think I scanned it on a...

Me, My Studio, My Camera, & My iPhone

I just took this picture using a Canon 5D Mark II, the new 17mm TS-E, and OnOne Software’s DSLR Remote Pro on my iPhone. I shot tethered to my Mac Pro and processed through shot Lightroom 2. Blogged it using PixelPost The whole process took less than 5 minutes. Nice.

I'm trying to really see the advantage of the TS-E on this shot… to my eye, it still looks a lot like a standard 17mm…ReplyCancel

The 17 tilt shift is the sharpest lens I've seen Canon make. It's sick. The new 24mm tilt shift is just as impressive. I shoot a lot of architecture and these lenses are exactly what I need. The perspective control is so helpful because you don't have to do any of it in post and you can get the full advantage of the sensor.ReplyCancel
