I was writing in my journal today and wrote down all the things I could think of that brought me joy. One of them is games. I love games of all kinds. I remember playing checkers and chess as a kid. Monopoly was huge in middle school. And of course, Nintendo. I played so much Nintendo. I was hooked. Zelda was my jam and IÂ could play it for hours. Nowadays, my "grown up" duties keep me from playing a lot of games. But my kids are into them a little bit. They're still young (7 and 9), but it's still fun to teach them things like Scrabble and Risk. I think one of the best parts about being a parent is getting to relive your childhood a little bit. At least reconnect to the inner child.
I shot this darts scoreboard at Lucky Lab Hawthorne in Portland, OR. May that place never change.
